Kris and Kerry are at Pete’s, enjoying James Blunt’s music. Kerry tells Kris that she will be riding Wildfire in a race in two weeks. Junior is watching them, still not over Kris.

Dani offers Matt money for training Picaro, but he doesn’t want to take it, thinking that he is just helping a friend and not really training him. But Dani is insistant.

The next day Matt is in for a surprise. Pablo had to leave for a while and Jean asks Matt to train Kris and Wildfire while Pablo is away. So suddenly he finds himself trainer of two horses.

Junior also is in for an unpleasant surprise as he finds the club flooded due to a burst pipe. The club is a mess. He calls Pete and leaves a message. The damage is estimated at 60.000 Dollars and they have no insurance. Junior talks to his dad, accusing him of flooding the club. Ken Davis denies it but implies that it might be an insurance scam and that Pete did it. Junior refuses to believe it.

Kerry shows up at Raintree to tell Kris the details of the race. She will be riding against Dani’s horse Picaro. Kerry and Kris are surprised that Matt already knows those details too.

Matt feels the strain of training both horses. He tries to quit working for Dani, but she already has his name in the race programme and when Matt sees that Pablo is listed as Wildfire’s trainer he decides to stay on.

Charlie finds out that Todd is secretly taking karate lessons. Charlie tells him that he must tell his mom, who is worried after Todd came home with a black eye once. Jean is upset about Todd taking karate. But seeing how much he loves it and after watching his first fight she gives her permission.

Kerry tells Kris that Matt is training Picaro as well. Kris finds it hard to believe. But Kerry is not joking. He talks to Jean about it. Jean is surprised and upset. Kris talks to Matt. She is upset about the whole thing. Matt feels he is not betraying her; he is training everyone as best as possible and after that it’s a race. Jean is mad at Matt and tells him she is against him working for the Davis family.

Junior gets a visit from his mom. Isabelle promises to help him when Rebecca shows up. The waitress has called a few of her family members and friends who have agreed to help Junior rebuilt the club. But then his mom interferes, saying she will invest the 60.000 Dollars because she believes in him. But as it turns out she is broke. She asks Ken for half a million to get out of Junior’s life. Ken agrees, hoping this will bring his son back to him.

It’s Race Day. Kerry is still unhappy about Matt training both horses, but Jean and Kris believe in Matt. Nonetheless, both Kerry and Charlie have bets on Wildfire winning. Matt is nervous. He stands in front with Junior and Rebecca, unable to decide whether to sit with his family or Dani.

The race begins. It’s a neck on neck race between Picaro and Wildfire. Wildfire wins, Picaro makes second place. Everyone is pleased, especially Matt and even Dani, especially after her dad compliments her for a job well done.
