At
the beginning of the year 2000 Kieren shot this TV commercial for Tui Beer, a local
NZ beer, in Wellington.
The
commercial ran for approximately 18 months, ending in December 2002.
The
spot was a take off of Raiders of the Lost Arc: Kieren and his friends are playing
Cricket, when they loose their ball. While looking for it they suddenly find themselves
in the jungle...
Brewed
since 1889 Tui Beer is said to typify typical Kiwi humor and is very popular in
New Zealand. Featured on the label is the Tui bird, who is endemic to New Zealand and often discribed as the "nightingale of New Zealand".
